Item is a fire insurance plan of Montreal, Quebec from special surveys and official plans, "comprising St. Gabriel, St Jean Baptiste and Hochelaga wards with St. Louis du Mile End, St. Henri, Ste. Cunegonde, Cote St Antoine" and "also parts of Cote St Paul, Cote St Pierre, Cote La Visitation & Maisonneuve." It includes three unnumbered sheets: a title sheet, a "Notes on compilation" and a street index. Plates are numbered 50-91. Plate 50 is a "General index plan of Montreal and Suburbs" [scale 1:24 000] and also includes a table of "Index to atlas plates. Referring to each ward & municipality, Vol. I & II."

Plate 51 is an "Index map of St. Gabriel ward" [scale 1:3 600]

Plate 56 is an "Index map of St. Henri, St. Cunegonde & Côte St. Antoine" [scale 1:3 500].

Plate 73 is an "Index map of St. Jean Baptiste ward, Côte St Louis, St Louis du Mile End and Cote la Visitation" [scale 1:6 000].

Plate 83 is an "Index map of Hochelaga ward and part of the Village of Maisonneuve" [scale 1:3 600].
